What's in the tin?
One thing only: ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, Japan — shade-grown tencha leaves, de-stemmed and slowly stone-milled into a fine powder. No sweeteners, no fillers, no flavourings. 50g per tin, roughly 25 servings at 2g each.
How do I make it?
Sixty seconds, no ceremony required. Whisk 2g into 60ml of warm (not boiling) water until frothy — a £10 milk frother works beautifully. Drink it straight, top with oat milk for a latte, or shake it over ice. Full guide inside every box.
How does the subscription work?
Two rhythms: the Starter Ritual delivers three tins every 3 months at £54, and Monthly delivers one tin every month at £27. We email before every renewal, and you can skip, pause, switch plans or cancel from one link. The £40 single tin never renews — it's just a tin.
Delivery & returns
Free tracked UK delivery on the Starter Ritual and all refills, dispatched within 24h. Not in love after your first tin? Tell us within 30 days and we'll refund it — keep the other two.

The grade matters

Not all matcha deserves the whisk.

Most matcha sold in the UK is culinary grade — the bitter, dull-green powder made for baking. matchacha is the other kind.

🍃

Ceremonial, not culinary

First-pick leaves milled for drinking straight — the grade most cafés never use, because it costs more than they'd like.

⛰️

Born in Uji

The hills south of Kyoto where matcha was perfected. Our leaves are shaded for weeks before harvest — that's where the sweetness comes from.

🪨

Stone-milled slow

Granite wheels turn slowly so the powder never heats up. Heat kills aroma; patience keeps it.

🔬

Batch-tested

Every lot is checked for purity before it ships. If a harvest doesn't pass, it doesn't get a tin.

Why it feels different

Same morning. Different curve.

Matcha carries roughly two-thirds the caffeine of a coffee — but it arrives bundled with L-theanine, so the lift comes on gently and eases off without the cliff.

Your usual coffee matchacha

The 60-second ritual

Whisk it. Froth it. Shake it.

No tea ceremony required — unless you want one.

SHOT R1

Bamboo whisk mid-motion in a bowl, splash frozen, warm light

Classic

Whisk it

2g + 60ml warm water. Whisk in a "W" until a fine foam sits on top. Drink as is — naturally sweet.

SHOT R2

Oat milk pouring into green matcha, latte art swirl, ceramic cup

Latte

Froth it

Same shot, topped with hot oat or whole milk. A £10 electric frother makes it café-smooth.

SHOT R3

Iced matcha in tall glass, condensation, hand with gold ring, summer light

Iced

Shake it

Shot + cold milk + ice in a shaker or jar. Ten seconds of cha-cha. Better than the £4.80 café version.

SHOT O1

Uji tea fields under shade cloth, misty hills, dawn — cinematic wide

Origin

From Uji, with love.

Matcha wasn't invented everywhere. It was perfected in Uji — the hills south of Kyoto where growers have shaded, picked and milled tea leaves for eight centuries.

Ours comes from a milling house that's been at this for over thirty years. Leaves are shaded for weeks before harvest, steamed the day they're picked, and ground slowly on granite so the aroma survives the journey to your tin.

That's the whole secret. Good leaves, treated gently, sealed fresh.

Questions

Before you whisk.

How much caffeine is in a serving?
Around 60–70mg per 2g serving — roughly two-thirds of a flat white. Most members find the lift smoother and longer than coffee's, thanks to the L-theanine matcha naturally carries.
I'm a coffee person. Will I actually like the taste?
If you've only met bitter café matcha, you've met the wrong grade. Ceremonial Uji matcha is naturally sweet, creamy and a little grassy — closer to a fine green tea than the swampy stuff. And the 30-day guarantee exists precisely for this question.
How long does a tin last?
50g is about 25 servings — a month of near-daily rituals, or longer if you alternate with coffee. We won't judge.
What exactly renews, and when?
The Starter Ritual renews every 3 months (£54 for three tins). Monthly renews every month (£27 for one tin). You get an email before each renewal, and one tap lets you skip, pause, switch or cancel. The £40 single tin is one-and-done.
Where do you deliver?
Anywhere in the UK, free and tracked, dispatched within 24 hours of your order.
What if I don't love it?
Tell us within 30 days of your first order and we'll refund your money. Keep the tins — regifting encouraged.
