β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜… 4.8 from 705 Reviews
  • Smooth, steady lift β€” no jitters, no 3pm crash
  • Whisks silky and naturally sweet. Never bitter
  • Shade-grown, stone-milled, single origin: Uji, Japan
  • One tin β‰ˆ one month of morning rituals
What's in the tin?
One thing only: ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, Japan β€” shade-grown tencha leaves, de-stemmed and slowly stone-milled into a fine powder. No sweeteners, no fillers, no flavourings. 50g per tin, roughly 25 servings at 2g each.
How do I make it?
Sixty seconds, no ceremony required. Whisk 2g into 60ml of warm (not boiling) water until frothy β€” a Β£10 milk frother works beautifully. Drink it straight, top with oat milk for a latte, or shake it over ice. Full guide inside every box.

The grade matters

Not all matcha deserves the whisk.

Most matcha sold in the UK is culinary grade β€” the bitter, dull-green powder made for baking. matchacha is the other kind.

πŸƒ

Ceremonial, not culinary

First-pick leaves milled for drinking straight β€” the grade most cafΓ©s never use, because it costs more than they'd like.

⛰️

Born in Uji

The hills south of Kyoto where matcha was perfected. Our leaves are shaded for weeks before harvest β€” that's where the sweetness comes from.

πŸͺ¨

Stone-milled slow

Granite wheels turn slowly so the powder never heats up. Heat kills aroma; patience keeps it.

πŸ”¬

Batch-tested

Every lot is checked for purity before it ships. If a harvest doesn't pass, it doesn't get a tin.

Why it feels different

Same morning. Different curve.

Matcha carries roughly two-thirds the caffeine of a coffee β€” but it arrives bundled with L-theanine, so the lift comes on gently and eases off without the cliff.

The 60-second ritual

Whisk it. Pour it. Enjoy it.

CafΓ©-quality matcha in 60 seconds β€” no barista required.

Bamboo whisk mid-motion in a bowl, splash frozen, warm light
STEP 1 β€” Whisk

Make the shot

2g matcha + 60ml warm water. Whisk in a "W" motion until a fine foam forms on top. This is your base β€” smooth and naturally sweet.

Oat milk pouring into green matcha, latte art swirl, ceramic cup
STEP 2 β€” Pour

Add your milk

Fill a glass with ice (or steam milk for hot). Pour the matcha shot over the top and watch it swirl into the milk.

Iced matcha in tall glass, condensation, hand with gold ring, summer light
STEP 3 β€” Enjoy

Your way

Add ice for a refreshing iced latte, or sip it warm β€” either way it's ready in about a minute. CafΓ©-grade matcha, made at home.

Origin

From Uji, with love.

Matcha wasn't invented everywhere. It was perfected in Uji β€” the hills south of Kyoto where growers have shaded, picked and milled tea leaves for eight centuries.

Ours comes from a milling house that's been at this for over thirty years. Leaves are shaded for weeks before harvest, steamed the day they're picked, and ground slowly on granite so the aroma survives the journey to your tin.

That's the whole secret. Good leaves, treated gently, sealed fresh.

I’ve been drinking matcha for the last 12 months now, slowly swoping out my 3 morning coffees for matcha instead and this is by far the nicest and most mellow matcha I have come across so far. When made correctly it is a smooth mild drink and well worth the little effort!

I buy this matcha every month its very good quality powder and makes for a pleasant drink, matcha is best drunk at a low heart to capture the flavour and get all the health benefits of green tea. If your used to drinking hot tea, it did take some adjustment to drinking a warm tea. The alternative is to have a cold latte matcha with Oat or nut milk.

Questions

Before you whisk.

How much caffeine is in a serving?
Around 60–70mg per 2g serving β€” roughly two-thirds of a flat white. Most people find the lift smoother and longer than coffee's, thanks to the L-theanine matcha naturally carries.
I'm a coffee person. Will I actually like the taste?
If you've only met bitter cafΓ© matcha, you've met the wrong grade. Ceremonial Uji matcha is naturally sweet, creamy and a little grassy β€” closer to a fine green tea than the swampy stuff. And the 30-day guarantee exists precisely for this question.
How long does a tin last?
50g is about 25 servings β€” a month of near-daily rituals, or longer if you alternate with coffee. We won't judge.
Is there a subscription?
No. Every order is one-time. The 3-tin pack gives you the best price per tin β€” you pay for two and get three β€” but there is no auto-renewal, no billing after that, nothing to cancel.
Where do you deliver?
We ship worldwide. UK and US orders are tracked and dispatched within 24 hours of your order.
What if I don't love it?
Tell us within 30 days of your first order and we'll refund your money. Keep the tins β€” regifting encouraged.
